The Ideal Student
I think the ideal student can vary from person to person. Grades aren't everything. Getting straight A's is nice, but a B or two isn't going to end the world. Its more about the effort that is put into those grades. An ideal student is someone who chooses to work and goes above and beyond. They are leaders. But actual schoolwork isn't everything. Being involved, rather it be sports, or clubs, or other activities helps to produce an ideal student. Basically in short, the ideal student is a student who works hard, is a leader, and is involved in and outside the classroom.

I agree that being an ideal student is more than just having good grades. In many cases, being a well rounded and involved student is often just as important as having higher grades.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Toby and Lindsey. I appreciate your post and comment. An ideal student is more than grades -- after all, our lives as adults are more than just our jobs or careers.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree that being the ideal student goes beyond the classroom. If someone is just focussed on grades throughout their education, then what would happen once they are facing a problem in the real world that has nothing to do with getting a good grade on a project?
ReplyDeleteI agree with your view on being involved outside of the classroom. If I wouldn't have been involved in clubs and sports in my high school, I wouldn't have been able to learn how to manage my time wisely.
